
CURTIS GRAHAM has devoted his practice to protecting companies from their employees. He represents management on a broad spectrum of personnel matters, including wage and hour issues, discrimination and harassment, discipline and termination, employee health and safety, company investigations and dispute resolution, the protection of trade secrets and confidential information, and the preparation and use of effective personnel policies. Mr. Graham represents management for employers of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local mom-and-pop companies.
As a trained negotiator and experienced mediator, Mr. Graham resolves and mitigates employee disputes, both before they evolve or escalate into litigation, and after.
As a trial lawyer, Mr. Graham has prevailed in all types of civil litigation, including jury trials, court trials, administrative hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, by obtaining favorable results for national employers and local employers. Mr. Graham also has substantial experience - and success - defending companies against wage-and-hour class action lawsuits.
Prior to joining the NCHC litigation team, Mr. Graham gained substantial experience in resolving many types of disputes. He served as a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, downtown and in Van Nuys, and worked within the NASD's arbitration forum. He also gained invaluable experience serving as a legal intern for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall, U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California.
A Southern California native, Mr. Graham is committed to the region but also traveled as a student to Russia, Singapore, and the Philippines to provide workshops and lectures for local teenagers. Mr. Graham is active in his church, and he serves the business community through his leadership as a member of local chambers of commerce and the local Employer Advisory Council.
Born and raised in Southern California, Mr. Graham graduated summa cum laude from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a bachelor's degree in sociology. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law where he served as a senior member of the Law Review, was selected as a research fellow for the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, concurrently earned a master's degree in dispute resolution, and graduated with honors.
When not serving clients, Mr. Graham is usually with his family, playing with his two children.
