
LOUIS CAPPADONA's covers a broad spectrum of traditional labor law and employment law matters. He regularly represents employers before various federal and state agencies, advised employers in labor union matters, counsels employers in preventive law and developing personnel policies and employee handbooks. He has been a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Corps (JAG), a Field Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board and Labor Counsel for Litton Industries. He has been in private practice representing employers since 1976.
Lou is a member of the American, California and Ventura County Bar Associations. He is the Program Director and a Board member of the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC). He is also a member of the Employers Group Woodland Hills Regional Board of Directors and a member of the ProVisors Westlake IV Group. He provides employment law services to several not for profit agencies including Para Los Ninos, the Grossman Burn Foundation, the Inner City Education Foundation and Mary Health of the Sick Nursing Home. He also conducts in-house training for employer management teams.
Lou received his BS degree from St. Peter’s College, his JD from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio and he did graduate work in the Labor Law program at NYU School of Law. During his military service, he also attended the JAG school at the University of Virginia.
Lou resides with his wife in Westlake Village. They have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Lou is a "gym rat" and when he is not at his local health club, you can find him hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains. He is an avid amateur photographer and takes his video camcorder on all vacation trips and during visits with his grandchildren.
