Ramon GuizarNordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, Ventura County’s largest law firm, announces three new attorneys have joined the firm and one attorney has been promoted to partner. Noted real estate and business attorney Ramon Guizar and new associates Ryan Haws and Andrew Reid will expand the firm’s capacity in the areas of real estate law, employment and labor law, public agency law, bankruptcy, business, intellectual property and litigation. NCHC associate Joshua Best was promoted to partner, and represents the firm in the area of real estate law and business.

Guizar has approximately 20 years’ experience and will be of counsel to the firm. He was admitted to the bar in 1989 and had been a partner at the law firm Ferguson Case Orr Paterson LLP since 1991. His practice includes real property, land use and development, general corporate, and business law. Among other organizations, Guizar is an affiliate member of the Ventura County Coastal Association of Realtors. He is the Chair of the Real Property Section of the Ventura County Bar Association. He served for a number of years as a director of the American Cancer Society, Ventura County Division and the Greater Ventura Division. Guizar received his undergraduate degree from USC and his law degree from Harvard.

Best practices in the areas of real estate, corporate and business law. He graduated cum laude from the Pepperdine University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. His corporate and business practice includes entity formation, maintenance and dissolution; drafting complex shareholder, partnership and operating agreements; and e-Commerce and internet law issues. His real estate practice includes residential and commercial leasing; property tax issues; and easement issues. He is a member of the Ventura County Barristers.

Haws practices in the areas of bankruptcy, business, intellectual property, family law and general litigation. Haws received his law degree from Loyola Law School after completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and his graduate studies at the University of Utah.

Reid practices in the areas of litigation, employment and labor law, and public agency law. He graduated from the Pepperdine University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara.
