OXNARD, CALIF.-- Partners at Ventura County’s leading law firm, Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton, recently elected veteran litigator Joel Mark to oversee the firm as Managing Partner. The election comes as the firm enters its 71st year as a full-service law firm.

Mark is a noted expert on ethics, is a former chair of the State Bar committee on attorney fee arbitration, is a past member of its ethics committee and currently serves as the State Bar’s Presiding Arbitrator. He has extensive law practice management experience, having served on the executive teams of his former Los Angeles regional firm and of the Los Angeles office of the international firm of Baker & McKenzie. “He is the perfect leader at the perfect time to propel our firm into a new era. Serving with Mark on the management team are long-time NCHC leaders including George, former managing partner Michael O’Brien and Tamiann Cook, part of the firm’s senior management team for twenty years and its Chief Executive Officer since 2002.
Mark received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and his juris doctorate at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He has held leadership positions with several professional associations and the California State Bar. He is a past president of the American Youth Soccer Organization and a 2008 AYSO Hall of Fame inductee. He continues to serve on the AYSO audit committee, among other community and professional activities.
