Marc L. Charney receives Ventura County Leadership Academy Founder’s Award

Marc CharneyOXNARD, CALIF. -- The Ventura County Leadership Academy has awarded Marc L. Charney the inaugural VCLA Founder’s Award. The award was bestowed on Charney at the annual Leadership Academy luncheon held May 19. Charney, an attorney at Nordman Cormany Hair and Compton LLP, was a founding member of the Leadership Academy. A permanent plaque with the names of Charney and all future honorees will be maintained at the Ventura County United Way office.

This is to be an annual award and was created by VCLA to recognize an individual who has played an important role in fostering and providing community leadership through activities in various communities and organizations over a period of many years.

“Marc has assisted with the development of many of our community’s leaders over the years and we are grateful for his leadership and his continued dedication to development of our future leaders,” said Susan Lefevre, executive director, Ventura County Leadership Academy.
